Design thinking can help you define your strategy and discover new ways to innovate. Applying design tools, methods, and techniques within your business can give you valuable insights into your business, customers, competitors, and market. Design thinking is about looking at your business from a new perspective. The building pictured on the right is the home of the Weatherhead School of Management, recognized by Bloomberg as one of the best design thinking schools in the world. This is where I was introduced to the concepts and learned how to apply the tools while pursuing my MBA. Design thinking can help your business in a number of ways by bringing clarity to ideas. It can help you discover new ideas. It can help you quickly test new ideas (such as creating a new service). Learning design thinking techniques can help you as your business grows, it is not a one shot deal. By taking a holistic look at your business, your customers, and their experiences can result in the design of new interactions that foster long lasting relationships. Design thinking can also be used to identify new services that you can provide to your customers (or new customers).
